Another Gindo’s hot sauce! This time it’s green and has avocado in it. Hence Spicy Avocado. At first, I wasn’t sure if the avocado in the title was like due to the color or to say “use this with avocado”. It is true, though. It does contain avocado, along with jalapeno peppers and other fun/spicy things.

Somewhat ironically, I used the spicy avocado sauce with avocados—specifically, guacamole. It pairs wonderfully with guac and tacos. It reminds me of tomatillo sauce in a weird way. It has a sharp kick that blends well and a complex sort of herby flavor to it. It’s a short burst with tasty nuance to it. Besides from flavor, it doesn’t feel that thick or heavy. It feels like a light, refreshing burst of heat.

Needless to say, I really enjoyed this hot sauce from Gindo’s. It might be my favorite so far, and I really liked their Original Fresh & Spicy hot sauce. Since it’s herby and ‘lighter’, I feel like it pairs more easily with more things. Also it’s delicious. This hot sauce is limited release so if you’re interested, I’d say pick it up soon!
